Faith

I wanted to be able to talk to you a little bit about my faith.  I'm a born again Christian.  I believe what is written in the Bible is the inspired word of God, and I believe that God has given it to us as a manual on how He wants us to live our lives.  That includes both the old testament and the new testament, because Jesus came to fulfill the prophesy of Isaiah.

13 Then he said, "Hear now, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also? 

14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. 

Isaiah 7:13 - 14

20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 

21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." 

22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 

23"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us."

I have named this blog Adorned In The Word, because I believe that God's Word adorns our lives.  I looked up the definition for adorn and I wanted to share it with all of you.

adorn: 1. To lend beauty to

            2. To enhance or decorate with or as if with ornaments

adorned - provided with something intended to increase its beauty or distinction

The definitions are both from The Free Dictionary

I hope that you will adorn yourself with His word.  Wrap yourself in it, pour it over your head and envelop yourself in it because it is there to not only enhance our lives, but for the glory of God.

I think that this song from JJ Weeks Band,  beautifully expresses my feelings for God and Jesus, and what Jesus did and does for us each and every day of our lives.
